When Is Torture OK?
I’m not talking about Guantanamo Bay. I’m talking about a jail cell in San Diego. Right now, as you sit wherever you are reading this, a monster is sitting in a Southern California jail cell torturing the parents of 17-year-old Chelsea King. And no one can do a damned thing about it. John Albert Gardener III, is a 30 year old convicted sex offender who molested a “child under 14” back in 2000. He only spent a little over 6 years in prison before being released to hunt again. It’s thought he may be involved with another disappearance last year near San Diego. Amber Dubois vanished in February 2009 on her way to school.
Chelsea disappeared last week when she went for a run in a park. While she has not been found yet, police arrested Gardener on the suspicion of rape and murder. They aren’t saying what evidence they have but they do feel confident. They also say Gardener is not being cooperative.
Anti-torture advocates say information gathered by torture isn’t reliable. Let’s test their theory. Hook a car battery up to this creep until he talks. This is not by any stretch of the imagination an innocent man.
The King family is not giving up hope and plan to search with volunteers again tomorrow. The Facebook page set up for Chelsea posted the following: The search center will continue to conduct daily searches for Chelsea. Please come to the center @ 11858 Bernardo Plaza, Rancho Bernardo 858-485-8502 and register to volunteer. Daily searches start at 9am and continue throughout the day. Thank you to all of you who have helped us in our efforts to bring Chelsea home!
