Casey Anthony: Guilty!

The headline it seems everyone wanted and likely won't see in tomorrow's paper. And, while she is indeed guilty of lying to police officers, she is not guilty of murder or child abuse. There. It's said. Did she have something to do with Caylee's death? Probably. Did she do it intentionally? I doubt it. Now this is not to say her lawyer Jose Bauz is a genius because at times he seemed almost buffoonish, but in a way, maybe he is...a genius. Was it his idea to turn the Anthony family against each other? Every time one of them took the stand I wanted to cringe. But it did prove something. To me at least. Something in that family wasn't right. As a result, they did things "differently". Casey was no exception. She witnessed her daughter's death. And that part of the brain that helps you deal with that is not factory guaranteed. It's defective in the way that yours and mine aren't. But I don't doubt she loved Caylee. I don't doubt she felt great pain when Caylee died. But I think now, like a did a few years ago, she processes things differently than just about everyone else. And I, for one, think the jury got it right.

I hope they know what they're doing.
